Taranaki Foundation

Brand Touch-points:

Background

Taranaki Foundation formally Te Karaka have undergone a name change and brand transformation in 2021. Taranaki Foundation is a community foundation and involved in a wide range of charitable projects and campaigns across Taranaki. Strategy Collective became involved with Taranaki Foundation when it came time to build their website.

Project

The challenging brief to house quite a bit of content was met with the team at Strategy Collective working with Taranaki Foundation to identify what content could stay and what could go from the old site. From here all copy was re-written to ensure it was clear, concise and fitted with the new tone for the new brand. The weave that was developed as part of the brand suite has been included within the website to anchor the pages. The brand colours of canary, navy, fern, poppy and white have all been utilised. These colours were broken into segments on the website which will also help inform Taranaki Foundation’s future marketing when they are talking about certain projects, stories, ways to give or specific funding objectives. Taranaki Foundation is a charitable organisation and as Venture Taranaki Taranaki’s Story Toolkit had just launched, it was an idea to utilise some of this imagery that we had generated for the toolkit and overlay this throughout the Taranaki Foundation site.

“We wanted a website that would be inspirational, but informational. It needed to be able to tell our story in a number of ways. Strategy Collective listened to our vision and helped deliver it with creativity, collaboration and professionalism.”
