Background
The team at Novotel New Plymouth wanted to showcase their food and beverage offering from their talented team at Haukai Bistro and Bar. Led by executive and head chef Richard Ponder, his team are known for creating dishes that highlight regional cuisine with the best local produce from the Taranaki region.
Their food philosophy is based on as fresh and as local as possible, using the best quality, multicultural ingredients.
Haukai Bistro and Bar features indoor and outdoor dining areas and it is the perfect place to relax with a meal accompanied by a fine New Zealand wine.
The Project/s
Our task was to showcase the dining experience through film. From the initial creative concept, to storyboarding, filming and editing, we produced a video to capture how the kai (food) on our plates have been on a journey.
Each flavour and every element on your plate has it’s own korero (story) and we wanted to portray this with clear connections back to the land, sea and the people involved harvesting, cultivating and preparing food for guests and whānau at Haukai Bistro and Bar.
Our photographer also attended the video shoot to capture engaging content for social media.
