OMV is a hydrocarbon producer and an explorer in the search for new oil and gas reserves offshore New Zealand. OMV New Zealand has been active here since 1999 when it acquired shares in the Maari oil field, the company is a subsidiary of the OMV Group which is one of Austria’s largest listed industrial companies. It has since expanded into a range of other assets through subsequent acquisitions, these include the Māui gas field and a 74% share in the Pohokura gas field. OMV New Zealand has engaged Strategy Collective’s experienced People and Culture Consultants to support the HR needs of the business, both project and business as usual related, since 2019, following the merger and acquisition of Shell’s New Zealand assets by OMV New Zealand.
